Fire at LyondellBasell Houston refnery

A fre broke out in a cooling tower at LyondellBasell’s Houston refnery on the evening of Wednesday, 15 March. An ofcial statement from LyondellBasell says that the “on-site frefghting team and incident response personnel quickly contained the fre and it was extinguished at 9:30 [Wednesday] evening. All workers have been accounted for, and there were no injuries.”
