Clariant starts construction of cellulosic ethanol plant in Romania

Clariant has announced ofcial groundbreaking for the construction of the frst large-scale commercial sunliquid plant at Podari, near Craiova in southwestern Romania. The sunliquid technology developed by Clariant for the production of cellulosic ethanol from agricultural residues is being used on an industrial scale for the frst time.
