Stantec (Alberta, Canada), an engineering and project manage- ment frm, announced that Sinopec, China Construction Group, Indigenous people in Alberta, and Teedrum have proposed to develop a bitumen upgrading and petrochemical refning facil- ity at the Alberta Industrial Heartland region in Canada. Stantec says that it has been selected to carry out the regulatory review and permitting processes for the project.
