Sirius Minerals signs potash deal

Sirius Minerals (London), which is developing what will be the world’s largest polyhalite fertilizer mine in the North of England, on Monday announced a major new take-or-pay agreement for the supply and resale of its POLY4 product into Brazil and other countries in South America. The agreement, with the Cibrafertil group, Brazil’s sixth largest fertilizer distributor, foresees the oftake of a minimum of 2.5 million metric tons/year (MMt/y) of POLY4 by the seventh year after the start of commercial production.
