DowDuPont announced in a regulatory fling last night that it is writing down $4.6 billion in its valuation of the Corteva agchems spin-of, largely the result of impairment of goodwill. The write- down is “noncash and refects the efect of previously reported market conditions,” DowDuPont says. These market conditions include lower sales and margins across the agchems sector and continually weak demand for many crop protection products, according to analysts.
