Mitsubishi Chemical to sell European PMMA sheet business

Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. (MCC) on Friday announced its intent to divest its polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) sheet business in Europe to Schweiter Technologies Group (STAG; Steinhausen, Switzerland) for ￡92 million ($121.7 million). MCC will transfer the business along with shares in Perspex Distribution, the sales company in the United Kingdom for PMMA sheet manufactured by Lucite International UK (LIUK), after separating LIUK’s PMMA sheet business.
