Sibur, Gazprom sign final agreement for supply of ethane to Amur GCC

Sibur (Moscow), Russia’s largest petrochemicals company, and Gazprom (Moscow) today signed a long-term agreement for the supply by Gazprom of ethane feedstock to Sibur’s petrochemical megaproject planned near the town of Svobodny in Russia’s fareastern Amur region. The deal provides more details on the basic terms and conditions of a previously signed preliminary agreement for the 20-year ethane supplies from Gazprom’s Amur gas processing plant (GPP) to Sibur’s Amur gas chemical complex (GCC). The new document specifies that some 2 million metric tons/year (MMt/y) of ethane will be supplied, the pricing formula, and the parties’ responsibility for ensuring stable supplies and feedstock reception.
