N. America chemical rail up 6.1% YOY

During the week ended 14 July, chemical railcar traffic in North America increased 6.1% year over year (YOY) on a continuing surge in Canada. Volume totaled 46,843 carloads, up 7.5% from the previous week, according to data released on 18 July by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). For the year to date, chemical railcar traffic in North America is up 2.6%.
