SEC charges S&P analyst with insider trading on Sherwin-Valspar deal

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC; Washington) has charged Sebastian Pinto-Thomaz, an analyst with credit rat- ings agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P; New York) with insider trading related to the merger of Sherwin-Williams (SW) and Valspar. SEC has also charged two associates of Thomaz, Abell Oujaddou and Jeremy Millul, in the same complaint.
