N. America chemical rail up 1.8% YOY

During the week ended 12 May, chemical railcar traffic in North America increased 1.8% year-over-year (YOY) on gains in Canada and the United States. Volume during the week totaled 47,060 carloads, down 2.1% from the previous week, according to data released on 16 May by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). For the year to date, chemical railcar traffic in North America is up 2.2%.
