Cepsa to expand LAB in Spain

Cepsa (Madrid, Spain) is investing ?100-million ($122.8 million) to overhaul its Puente Mayorga chemical plant at San Roque, Spain. Plans cover the installation of Detal technology, co-licensed by Cepsa and UOP, for the production of linear alkylbenzene (LAB), as well as increasing the LAB plant's capacity from 200,000 metric tons/year to 250,000 metric tons/year.
