Dow Chemical's steam cracker at B?hlen, Germany, is expected to restart at the end of January following an interruption of internal raw material supply to the cracker, according to local media reports. Flaring had been reported on 12 January by the local media and it is understood that the interruption in production has been going on for 10 days. IHS Markit understands that the repairs to the cracker are taking longer than planned and that the plant and downstream production facilities were shut down on 6 January.
