Sika acquires majority stake in Italian roofing and waterproofing systems producer

Sika has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Index Construction Systems and Products (Verona, Italy), a leading manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing systems. The company generates annual sales of 115 million Swiss francs ($119.1 million). Sika says the acquisition will extend its product range and significantly strengthen its position in the Italian market. Index is a family-owned company established in 1978 by Luigi Carlon, who has owned and run the company since then.
