Styrolution,Trinseo progress plans for PS recycling plant in France

Ineos Styrolution,the styrenics subsidiary of Ineos,and Trinseo say they have started conceptual engineering design work on a new polystyrene(PS)recycling plant in Wingles,France,with the facility expected to be built and fully operational by mid-2023.No investment figure has been given at this stage.The planned commercial-scale facility will be capable of processing up to 50 metric tons/day of post-consumer PS feedstock,using a depolymerization process to convert PS food packaging waste to liquid monomer.
