OMV’s fourth-quarter petchem margin falls 28%

OMV (Vienna, Austria) says its fourth-quarter ethylene/ propylene net margin has fallen 28% year on year (YOY), with its refned product sales and downstream refning margins also lower, according to a trading update issued ahead of the company’s quarterly results to be released on 6 February. The company’s ethylene/propylene net margin in the fourth quarter was €363/metric ton ($404), down from €504/metric ton a year earlier.
