Formosa to restart steam cracker at Mailiao, Taiwan, after unplanned shutdown

Formosa Petrochemical Corp. (FPCC; Taipei, Taiwan) will restart its second-largest steam cracker at Mailiao, Taiwan, at the end of this week or early next week after an unplanned shutdown, according to a company spokesperson. The No.2 cracker, which has an ethylene capacity of 1.035 million metric tons/year (MMt/y), was shut down on 1 June, says spokesperson KY Lin.
