Braskem's new La Porte PP plant begins commercial production

Braskem has begun commercial production at its new $750-million,450,000-metric tons/year"Delta"polypropylene(PP)plant in La Porte,Texas.The project,which began construction in October 2017,was planned with the assumption that about half of the plant's output would be exported to Europe,South America,and Asia,but it will initially focus on the domestic market,owing to current tight supply conditions.
