Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals raises cost estimate for chloromethanes project

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd. (GACL; Vadodara, India) has revised the cost of its chloromethanes project at Dahej, Gujarat State, India. GACL now estimates the cost of the plant to be 8 billion Indian rupees ($105.1 million), compared with a previous estimate of Rs6.83 billion. The production capacity of the planned facility is 105,000 metric tons/year.
