Air Products starts up Geismar steam methane reformer

Air Products says its new steam methane reformer and cold box in Geismar, Louisiana, are onstream and supplying the neighboring Huntsman facility. It also supplies Air Products’ Gulf Coast hydrogen pipeline and network system (GCP). The facility has capacity to produce 6.5 million standard cubic feet/day (MMSCFD) of carbon monoxide, 50 MMSCFD of hydrogen, and up to 50,000 lbs/hour of steam.
