A strong rebound in global GDP with growth of 4.4% is expected in 2021 following the devastation caused by COVID-19 in 2020, which is forecast to result in worldwide GDP shrinking by 4.5% this year, according to Rajiv Biswas, IHS Markit executive director/Asia Pacifc chief economist, speaking at the Asia Chemical Conference 2020.
