K+S to sell Americas salt business to Stone Canyon for $3.2-billion

K+S(Kassel,Germany)has agreed the $3.2-billion sale of its Americas salt business to Stone Canyon Industries Holding(SCIH),with the transaction expected to close mid-2021.A contract of sale has been signed for the company's salt business,bundled together as its Americas operating unit,with the enterprise value representing 12.5 times the unit's 2019 EBITDA of $257 million,it says.K+S had confirmed yesterday that it was in"very advanced negotiations"with SCIH,an investment holding company.
