On a year- to-date (YTD) basis, volumes and values remain well below 2019 levels, despite a busy week. In the week’s most notable deal, private equity frm Ardian has agreed to buy a 50% ownership stake in Angus Chemical Co. from fellow private equity company Golden Gate Capital for a total enterprise value of approximately $2.25 billion. Golden Gate acquired Angus, an additives maker, from Dow in 2015.
