Axalta sales halved during April and May

Coatings maker Axalta says the company’s net sales were down 53% year on year (YOY) during April and May, as the COVID- 19 pandemic shut down global automotive and industrial production. Sales fell 48% YOY in April and May excluding the impact of M&A and currency exchange rates. Sales were up 15% sequentially from April to May, indicating a somewhat smaller YOY decline for May.
