Braskem, Agilyx explore PP advanced recycling project

Agilyx (Tigard, Oregon) and Braskem say they are studying the feasibility of an advanced recycling project in North America that would provide feedstock for polypropylene (PP). Agilyx would provide the recycling technology, and mixed waste plastics would be sourced through Cyclyx International, a feedstock management company founded by Agilyx in June 2020. Advanced, or chemical, recycling would allow Braskem to convert waste plastics into circular PP with properties identical to virgin material.
