Four new M&A transactions were announced during the week ended 13 July, up from three during the week prior. Year-to-date (YTD), deal volumes remain below 2019 levels. The week’s most notable deal was PTT Global Chemical’s (PTTGC) acquisition of a 41.5% stake in Dynachisso Thai, Dyanchem’s Thai polypropylene compounding subsidiary. The deal is part of PTTGC’s ongoing strategy to improve regional competitiveness and grow sustainably by focusing on providing value-added products for its customers. Dynachisso Thai’s PP compounding plant in Chonburi Province has an installed production capacity of 30,000 metric tons/year.
