Tronox closes Cristal acquisition

Tronox today announced the closure of its $1.67-billion acquisition of the titanium dioxide (TiO2 ) business of The National Titanium Dioxide Company Limited (Cristal; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia). The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) today issued an order and decision allowing the deal to go forward, after removing the deal from adjudication late last month.
