Lynas reserves rare earths for strategic customers amid rising prices, trade tensions

Lynas (Kuantan, Malaysia) announced that due to low pricing early in the current quarter, it has decided to reserve all neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) production for strategic customers. Production this quarter has been maintained at a comparable level to the March quarter and Lynas will have approximately 250 metric tons/year of NdPr inventory at the end of the quarter. Global macroeconomic issues have led to heightened interest in rare earths.
