Weekly average crude oil prices dropped 3% last week, Brent to $70.47/bbl and WTI to $61.90/bbl, as trade talks between the US and China fell apart. US toluene dropped sharply amid softening demand into disproportionation and falling energy prices. The European market tightened following a short period of oversupply. In Asia, demand remained strong into para-xylene, and it picked up seasonally into solvents and gasoline.
