McDermott to provide technology, engineering for huge ethylene project in Russia

McDermott International said today it has been awarded a technology contract from Baltic Chemical Co., a subsidiary of RusGazDobycha (Moscow), for a huge ethylene production complex at Ust Luga, Russia, and an extended basic engineering contract from China National Chemical Engineering Co. (CNCEC; Beijing), the main contractor on the project. McDermott’s Lummus Technology will provide both the process design package engineering and the license for the olefn production and recovery technology.
