GCP Applied Technologies reaches deal with activist investor

GCP Applied Technologies has reached a deal with activist hedge fund Starboard Value (New York), under which two new independent directors will join GCP’s board and Starboard will withdraw its slate of director nominees. The two directors are Clay Kiefaber, a former executive at industrials frm Colfax Corporation (Annapolis Junction, Maryland); and Marran Ogilvie, a former fnance executive and board member at Ferro and Evolution Petroleum (Houston, Texas).
