Odfjell reports improved results

Odfjell (Bergen, Norway) has announced improved second-quarter results citing early signs of a recovery in freight rates at the company’s chemical tanker business. Spot rates and contract of affreightment (COA) rates increased during the quarter. “The improvement in both spot and COA rates is still modest, but we continue to believe that we are at an early stage in the recovery of the chemical tanker market,” says Odfjell CEO Kristian Morch.
