Ube acquires Spain-based compounding firm

Ube Industries says it has acquired a majority stake in Repol (Castellon, Spain). Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed. Repol operates a compounding business in Europe using nylon-6; nylon-6,6; polypropylene; polyacetal; and other resins. The products are mainly used by the automotive industry but are also broadly used in industrial materials and for the electrical and electronics industries, says Ube.
