ACC specialty chemicals index rises 5.2% YOY in January

ACC’s specialty chemicals rose by 5.2% year over year (YOY) in January. Of the 28 segments tracked by ACC, 21 posted an increase in volume, one was fat, and 6 showed a fall in volume. Oilfeld chemicals grew by 16.7% YOY in January, followed by corrosion inhibitors, which expanded by 8%, and by mining chemicals, up by 7.3%. Pigments sufered a loss in volume of 5.1%, with plasticizers contracting by 2.1% in January.
