Clariant to strengthen North American oil services capabilities

Clariant, the Swiss speciality chemicals firm, has announced a "low single-digit million" amount investment to strengthen two of its North American oil services sites. These investments upgrade facilities at the Midland, Texas and Clinton, Oklahoma sites and follow the acquisitions of Kel-Tech and X-Chem, which were completed in October 2016. With the consolidation of the three businesses, Clariant said its customers will benefit from enhanced product and service support, and new, state-of-the-art building developments and regional testing laboratories.
