Renewables set to out-compete fossil fuels in power generation by 2025

The fundamental shifts in global energy systems and technology disruptions and the implications & opportunities for the chemicals industry were discussed in a presentation made by Mr. Suvojoy Sengupta, Partner, McKinsey & Co. Mr. Sengupta informed that even as the overall global energy demand growth continues to decelerate, non-OECD markets account for almost all of the total additional energy demand till 2050, which is good news for regions like India, Southeast Asia and China.
