Deepak Fertilisers' premises searched by income tax officials

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Ltd. has said that several of its premises were recently searched by income tax officials during the last week. "The income tax department is carrying out search and seizure operations at the company's office premises and plants with effect from November 15, 2018, under Section 132, read with 133A, of the Income Tax Act, 1961," the com- pany said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The company said it does not anticipate the search and seizure operations to have any materially adverse impact on it.
