Austrian oil and gas firm OMV will invest Euro 64-mn in the construction of a new iso butene(ISO C4)plant at its Burghausen refinery in Germany.The plant will begin operations in September 2020 and produce high-purity isobutene using a new technology.The innovative method for heat integration has been jointly developed by OMV and German chemical company.Both companies and have jointly filed for a global patent for the new technology,which is expected to be licensed to third parties in the future.
