Siemens Financial Services to take 20% stake in Greenko Group's wind power project

The Greenko Group, India's leading renewable energy player, has signed an agreement with Siemens Financial Services (SFS), the financing arm of Siemens AG, for an equity investment in its Poovani Wind Power project. The project is being developed in the state of Tamil Nadu and is backed by Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India.
