Covestro raises stake in JV with DIC in Japan

Covestro says it has raised its stake in the joint venture (JV) DIC Covestro Polymer (DCP) from 50% to 80%. DCP was established as a 50-50 JV with DIC Corp. in 2000, and is one of the leading companies in Japan's thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) industry. The total investment amounts to the low-double-digit million euros, and the deal is scheduled to close in early second-quarter 2019, subject to regulatory approval, says Covestro.
