Sasol to form explosives JV with Enaex, quits MA JV with Huntsman

Sasol says it has selected Enaex (Santiago, Chile), a subsidiary of the Sigdo Koppers Group, as Sasol's preferred partner for the possible formation of an explosives joint venture (JV). Sasol has also agreed to sell its stake in a maleic anhydride (MA) JV to its partner Huntsman. Sasol and Enaex are leading players in the civil explosives market. Enaex would take responsibility for the management and operational control of the JV. Sasol has identified explosives as a business with potential that could be unlocked through collaboration opportunities, including the possibility of partnering with a world-leading explosives brand.
