摘要

Incorporating metal ions into a calcium hydroxyapatite structure is a successful pathway to increase their physical, chemical and biological properties. The calcium hydroxyapatite was obtained by co-precipitation and a hydrothermal-assisted sol-gel method at a low temperature, using Ca(NO3)(2)center dot 4H(2)O and (NH4)(2)HPO4 as sources of calcium and phosphorus. Metal ion (M+ = Mn2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+) incorporation was carried out in solutions of calcium hydroxyapatite and the corresponding nitrate salts.
