Demand Increasing For U.S. Beans and Legumes

Higher quality accounts for rising popularity of U.S.-grown commodities. Although beans and legumes have become staple dietary hems in many countries worldwide, the demand for beans and legumes exported from the United States continues to increase ashigher seed quality and produrtion standards are pointed to as reasons for commodity popularity. Commodities originating in the United States have been traditionally viewed as of a higher quality because of nationwide production standards that exceed those of foreign countries. However, some bean and legume producers wculd argue that any popularity of these items should he attributed to the seed itself, which is also considered of a higher quality than similar seeds found in other countries.
