A thermostatically-controlled cabinet to improve tail vein blood sampling in rodents

As part of our Metabolism studies we routinely have to perform serial tail vein bleeds in rodents. This poster describes a heated cabinet which is used to dilate tail veins for bleeding purposes under controlled temperature conditions. The heated cabinet was designed and constructed in-house by our Biomedical Engineering Department with input from our technical staff.
