In this issue of Blood, Mahevas et al demonstrate that an immunomodulatory drug or a proteasome inhibitor partnered with dexamethasone can lead to a clinically meaningful improvement in severe cases of scleromyxedema that are refractory to high-dose IV immunoglobulin (IVIG).
