The Pear Bureau Northwest

The Pear Bureau Northwest was founded more than 75 years ago to represent fresh pear growers in the states of Washington and Oregon. It was formed in 1930 after the establishment of the federal Winter Pear Marketing Order (now the Fresh Pear Marketing Order). At that time, the Pear Bureau was an organization created and then hired to do the generic marketing and promotions for Oregon and Washington pear growers.
