摘要

At the Mill Hill Laboratory (The Francis Crick Institute) there is no standard form of identification for individual Xenopus tropicalis, unlike the Xenopus Laevis sp which have individual patterns and can therefore be photographed. If an individual X. tropicalis needs to be identified (e.g. a transgenic individual with a desired gene), it may be necessary to keep animals in individual tanks. However single housing is not an ideal identification method as this has welfare and spaceimplications. The objective of this study was to test the p-Chip (Pharmaseq) as a possible method for individual identification of Xenopus tropicalis in live animals.
