Syringe training family groups of marmosets at Dstl

Syringe training is a method which has been adopted at Dstl to train animals to co-operate when they are required to be administered oral medication. The purpose of syringe training is to reduce stress and to avoid any possible further injuries whilst being hand-caught to receive medication. Training the marmosets to come forward voluntarily to receive their treatment from a syringe will reduce both these factors.
