摘要

The permanent head attachment is often used for thefixation and stabilisation of devices on the skull.Sampling devices such as indwelling catheters (Figure 1)and intra cranial cannulae are glued to the skull toallow sampling or injection in the freely moving animal.Disadvantage of the commonly used metamethylacrylicbased cements such as Polyfast~R are highpolymerisation temperatures leading to possible skinnecrosis, poor bonding to the bone thus requiring theuse of anchoring screws and long hardening timeresulting in increased surgery time.
