Continuation of the magnetic flux and potential of plane meridional field from a flat surface

Analytical solutions for the problems of continuation of the flux and potential of plane meridional electric and magnetic fields from the tangential or normal component of the field vector specified at a plane boundary are obtained. Examples of calculating the lines of force and equipotential lines of the fields continued, and of using these lines to determine the profiles of the electrodes for generating the required field are given.
