Lube oil selection method for automotive-tractor diesel engines

摘要

The article discusses existing criteria of motor oil quality evaluation and selection. Based on comparative analysis thereof, a way to improve said criteria is offered. Based 6n selected parameters and similarity theory, non-dimensional criterion is offered for motor oil quality evaluation ("functionality" criterion), and its dependence on oil "igidity" criterion. Experimental relationship coefficients for various types of diesel engines are presented in a table I table, 12 references.
